Customer Request
A farmer near Cardiff first spoke to us at Raglan Livestock Market, where he asked about a free survey for lambing cameras. A few days later, Alistair and Gosia visited his and spent time walking the site, discussing lambing, livestock welfare, and his wider farm security needs.
What began as a request for four PTZ lambing cameras in a single shed quickly developed into a much larger, phased installation covering multiple buildings across the farm.
Solution
Over two phases, Dyfed CCTV installed a comprehensive Hikvision-based system, including:
-
4 × Hikvision TandemVu PTZ cameras in the main lambing shed
-
5 × Hikvision ColorVu bullet cameras around the farmhouse and yard
-
1 × Hikvision TandemVu PTZ in a smaller livestock shed
-
4 × Hikvision TandemVu PTZ cameras in a newly built shed
-
Upgrade from an older recorder to a Hikvision 32-channel NVR, providing long-term storage and room for future expansion
The TandemVu PTZ cameras allow this customer to monitor lambing closely with powerful zoom, while also maintaining a fixed overview of key areas. The ColorVu bullet cameras provide excellent full-colour night footage around the house and yard.
Outcome
Clive is extremely pleased with the system, particularly the image quality on the ColorVu bullets and the clarity and control of the PTZ cameras when monitoring sheep during lambing. The upgraded recorder gives him confidence that the system is future-proofed as the farm continues to evolve.
Since the installation, this customer has already recommended Dyfed CCTV to neighbouring farms, and we continue to see him regularly at Raglan Market. The system now provides him with genuine peace of mind across lambing sheds, livestock buildings, and the wider farm.
Customer Review
“Really pleased with the cameras Dyfed CCTV have installed. The picture quality is excellent and the PTZ cameras are ideal for lambing. Alistair and the team took the time to understand what we needed and did a very tidy job. I’ve already recommended them to neighbours.”
