24 hour CCTV monitoring

Professional CCTV monitoring for farms, yards and commercial sites

For higher-risk sites, CCTV can do more than simply record footage after an incident. Dyfed CCTV can design and install systems that are suitable for remote CCTV monitoring, helping turn your cameras into a more proactive security solution.

Where required, we can integrate CCTV systems with a professional monitoring centre, including providers such as ARC Monitoring. When an alert is triggered, trained operators can review live footage, challenge intruders using audio warnings, and escalate incidents to keyholders or emergency services where appropriate.

Remote CCTV monitoring and commercial security installation
Commercial CCTV monitoring for farms yards and higher risk sites
Monitored CCTV alerts Cameras can be configured to detect activity and send alerts for operator review, especially outside normal working hours.
Audio challenge options Speaker systems can allow operators to issue live warnings, helping deter intruders before theft or damage takes place.
Ideal for higher-risk sites Monitoring is well suited to farms, machinery yards, industrial units, construction sites, depots and remote premises.

Most customers start with a high-quality CCTV installation, with 24 hour monitoring available as an upgrade for sites that need additional protection.

Connectivity services from Dyfed CCTV

CCTV is only as good as the connection behind it

Alongside professional CCTV installation, Dyfed CCTV also provides Starlink installation in Wales, WiFi boosting, networking, data cabling, wireless bridges and full-property connectivity. That means one team can design the cameras, the internet connection, the WiFi coverage and the network properly from the start.

Professional Starlink installation on a rural property in Wales Starlink

Starlink installation for rural homes, farms and businesses

For properties where fibre is poor, slow or unavailable, Starlink can be a major upgrade. We install the dish properly, route the cable neatly, set up the router and make sure the system is positioned for the best practical connection.

  • Secure Starlink dish mounting and tidy cable routes
  • Suitable for farms, rural homes, holiday lets and business sites
  • Can be linked with CCTV, WiFi access points and wider networking
Professional WiFi boosting and whole property wireless coverage WiFi boosting

WiFi boosting that covers the actual property

Thick walls, extensions, outbuildings, barns, yards and offices can all create dead spots. We build WiFi systems around the property, not around cheap plug-in boosters that only repeat a weak signal.

  • Whole-home, farm, office and outbuilding WiFi coverage
  • Professional access points, cabling and outdoor coverage options
  • Ideal where CCTV remote viewing, phones and business devices need stability
Professional networking and WiFi access point installation Networking

Networking, data cabling and wireless bridges

CCTV, Starlink and WiFi all depend on reliable networking. We install Cat6 cabling, PoE switches, access points, wireless links and structured networks for properties where reliability matters.

  • Data cabling, PoE switches, cabinets and network tidying
  • Wireless bridges between buildings, yards, sheds and offices
  • Network planning for CCTV, Starlink, WiFi and remote viewing

One tidy system instead of separate disconnected fixes

Many rural and commercial properties end up with CCTV from one company, broadband from another, WiFi boosters bought online and a network that nobody really owns. Dyfed CCTV can bring the whole setup together: cameras, recording, remote viewing, Starlink, WiFi coverage, data cabling and wireless links.

Useful for the same properties we already protect

This is especially useful for farms, yards, workshops, offices, holiday lets, large homes, rural estates, commercial units and multi-building sites where the internet signal, WiFi and CCTV all need to work together.

CCTV Support Centre

Already have a CCTV system? We can repair it, service it, upgrade it or take it over.

Not every customer needs a brand new CCTV installation. Many people already have cameras in place but need an experienced company to repair faults, improve image quality, replace failed equipment, upgrade older technology or simply take over ongoing support after their original installer has stopped trading.

This section is for farms, homes and businesses that already have CCTV and want straight advice, proper fault finding, neat remedial work and long-term support from a specialist CCTV company.

CCTV repairs and fault finding

When your CCTV stops working, the answer is not always to replace everything.

A failed CCTV system can be stressful, especially if you only notice the problem after an incident. We look at the practical cause: cameras, recorders, hard drives, cabling, PoE switches, broadband, routers, apps and the network behind the system.

Maintenance and servicing

CCTV maintenance should stop problems being discovered too late.

A CCTV system is only useful if it is recording when you need it. Regular servicing helps check camera views, recording, remote access, hard drive health, night-time image quality and obvious installation issues before footage is needed.

Taking over existing CCTV systems

If your original CCTV installer is no longer available, we may still be able to help.

You do not always need to start again.

If your CCTV system was installed by another company, we can often inspect it and give practical advice. Sometimes the right answer is a small repair. Sometimes it is a new hard drive, a replacement camera, better remote viewing, a new recorder, improved networking, or a staged upgrade.

We will not pretend every old system is worth saving. But we will look at it properly and tell you whether it is sensible to repair, maintain, expand or replace.

Original installer gone quiet?

We are regularly contacted by people who cannot get hold of their original CCTV installer, have inherited a system in a new property, or have equipment that nobody is currently maintaining.

We can help with many existing systems, including Hikvision, HiLook, Dahua, Uniview, Axis, Hanwha, Bosch, Avigilon, TP-Link VIGI, Ubiquiti Protect, Reolink, Swann, Ezviz, Annke and other systems where practical.

Support for customers of installers who no longer trade or no longer support the system

Customers sometimes search for the original company name because they need help with an existing system. We are not connected with those companies, but we may be able to inspect, repair, maintain or upgrade systems they previously installed.

The important question is not who fitted it originally. The important question is whether the current system can still be made useful, reliable and easy to manage.

Network improvements

CCTV camera upgrade
Camera upgrades

Better images

Upgrade old or poorly positioned cameras to improve evidence quality, night performance, coverage and app usability.

CCTV can also depend on broadband, WiFi and the wider network.

A camera system may be installed correctly but still perform badly if the network is weak. This is especially common on farms, rural homes, yards, outbuildings, holiday parks and larger commercial sites.

CCTV brands, technologies and real-world installations

The right CCTV system depends on the site, not just the camera brand.

Some customers need a simple home CCTV upgrade. Others need farmyard cameras, PTZ views, wireless links, remote viewing, number plate capture, commercial site coverage, better WiFi, Starlink, or ongoing maintenance for equipment that was installed years ago.

This part of the homepage helps visitors understand what we support, what we install, and how the different services on the site connect together.

Supported CCTV manufacturers

We work with professional CCTV brands and can inspect many existing systems too.

A good CCTV system is more than a logo on a camera. It needs the right design, the right recording setup, sensible cabling, a stable network and aftercare from people who understand the equipment.

Other CCTV brands and camera systems customers ask us about

We cannot promise every system is practical to repair, especially if it is very old, locked down, damaged or unsupported. But we can usually inspect the setup and explain the sensible options.

Supported CCTV technologies

From ColorVu and PTZ cameras to Starlink, WiFi bridges and remote viewing.

The technology only matters if it solves a real problem. We design around the site: where people enter, where vehicles move, where livestock are kept, where the broadband is, where cable can run and what footage needs to prove.

A farm, pub, workshop, school, caravan park and private home should not all get the same camera layout. The system needs to fit the way the site is used every day.

EXISTING CCTV SYSTEMS

Already Have CCTV Installed?
You May Not Need A New System.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear every week is that a CCTV system must be completely replaced as soon as something stops working. In reality, many existing systems can be repaired, upgraded or expanded without starting from scratch. Whether your CCTV protects a farm, business, warehouse, shop, office, factory or home, the first step should always be understanding exactly what has failed and whether the existing installation still provides a solid foundation.

Across Wales we regularly inspect systems that have been installed by other companies over the last ten, fifteen and sometimes even twenty years. Some simply need a failed hard drive replacing. Others need a recorder upgrade, improved networking, additional cameras or modern remote viewing. In many situations the customer saves a significant amount of money because only selected parts of the system need replacing rather than everything.

Our approach is straightforward. We inspect the equipment, explain exactly what we find, identify what is worth keeping, highlight anything approaching the end of its useful life and provide practical advice without unnecessary upselling. If replacing everything genuinely makes the most sense, we will explain why. If it does not, we are equally happy to repair, modernise and continue supporting the installation.

Your Original CCTV Installer No Longer Exists?

Every year we speak to customers who tell us the company that originally installed their CCTV has retired, closed, merged with another business or simply no longer provides CCTV support. That situation can leave customers unsure who to call when a recorder fails, a camera stops working or they simply want additional cameras adding to an existing system.

In many cases there is no need to remove the entire installation simply because the original installer is no longer available. Existing systems can often continue providing years of reliable service when they are maintained correctly and upgraded sensibly. Our engineers regularly inspect systems installed by many different companies and manufacturers, providing honest advice on repairs, maintenance and future improvements.

Where practical we are happy to take over the ongoing support of existing CCTV installations. That may involve annual servicing, emergency repairs, replacing failed equipment, improving networking, adding modern cameras or helping customers migrate to newer technologies such as ColorVu, AI analytics, Starlink connectivity and professional WiFi infrastructure.
